How Do You Know When You’ve Had Enough? That’s a question you could easily ask of The NoMen! After at least fifty releases on CD, Vinyl and Digital they are still at it, banging out songs and albums for that small cult of NoMen fans around the world!

Recent releases have seen The NoMen veer towards ambient instrumentals, Krautrock and even medieval music but on this album they’ve gone back to their guitars and drums and made a traditional ROCK album!

It’s a full band, recording live, jamming riffs and seeing what happens. Guitarist Cal NoMan, who hasn’t played with the NoMen since around 2005, came back to the studio and not only played incendiary guitar but also grooved on the Drums. Jamie and Brian NoMan who returned to the band on the last album are both still here churning out the riffs and, like Cal, playing guitar AND drums. Check out the final few minutes of the album to hear why Brian NoMan is one of the unsung guitarist of our generation!

There’s a country, bluesy feel to some tracks, a couple of slow epic ballads, and a rocker or two all with an energetic, enthusiasm that only a live band can achieve. Think of the vibe on Exile On Main Street but without the sweltering heat and the drugs! This was recorded in winter on the west of Scotland with Moretti beer being the strongest drug in the room!
