The NoMen have withdrawn their CDs, vinyl and other physical products from BandCamp due to them charging VAT.
The digital back catalogue is still up there and, as UK law says VAT has to be paid on downloads, BandCamp helpfully does that for us.
BUT...
Neither NoMen Records or Topplers Records are even fractionally close to the UK VAT threshold so there is no way they should be charging VAT over and above the price we set, and even more annoying is that they include postage in with the price to calculate VAT when UK standard post is VAT free!!!
This is what happens when American corporations take over what was an essential tool for independent minded bands.
